Albert Johnson Volunteer of the Year Award
Al Peppard Volunteer of the Year Award
At the end of each season, a volunteer at the Atom level or lower will be awarded the Albert Johnson Volunteer of the Year Award and a volunteer at the Peewee level or higher will be awarded the Al Peppard Volunteer of the Year Award.
The recipient is a volunteer who has contributed enormous talent, energy and skills, has shown commitment to minor hockey, is a mentor to others, providing inspiration and encouragement and is dedicated to making MDMH’s program grow.
Any member may submit a nomination and the executive will choose the recipient.
The Seth Veinot Memorial Award
Seth Veinot proudly wore the Middleton Mustang jersey until he was taken away from us in June 1994 at the young age of 11. He was a young man who lived and dreamed hockey. Even when he was diagnosed with diabetes, his enthusiasm, determination and team spirit only increased, teaching us all to never give up!
Middleton & District Minor Hockey is honored to be given the privilege of remembering this young man every season though this award.
The Seth Veinot Memorial Award is presented to a second year Atom player who has demonstrated their own unique personality, team spirit, good sportsmanship and love for the game. A player who exuded energy and vitality, who has consistently given 110%.
This player is chosen by the coaching staff. In the event that there is more than one candidate (for example, there is more than one Atom team or the coach just can't choose) then a piece is to be written on each candidate and given to the executive. The executive will then ask Seth's mother, Angie, to choose a candidate and the executive will inform the coaches.
